Introducing our Diode-Pumped Solid-State Laser (DPSS Laser) Module, a groundbreaking innovation in the field of laser technology. This module, a cornerstone in our product lineup, is not merely a solid-state laser but a sophisticated pump light module, designed with precision and efficiency in mind.
Semiconductor Laser Pumping: Our DPL employs a semiconductor laser as its pump source. This design choice offers significant advantages over traditional xenon lamp-pumped lasers, such as a more compact structure, enhanced practicality, and an extended operational lifespan.
Versatile Operation Modes: The DPL module operates in two primary modes - Continuous Wave (CW) and Quasi-Continuous Wave (QCW). The QCW mode, in particular, employs an array of laser diodes for pumping, achieving higher peak power, making it suitable for applications like Optical Parametric Oscillators (OPO) and Master Oscillator Power Amplifiers (MOPA).
Side Pumping: Also known as transverse pumping, this technique involves directing pump light from the side of the gain medium. The laser mode oscillates along the length of the gain medium, with the pump light direction perpendicular to the laser output. This configuration, primarily composed of the pump source, laser working medium, and resonant cavity, is crucial for high-power DPLs.
End Pumping: Common in mid-to-low power LD-pumped solid-state lasers, end pumping aligns the pump light direction with the laser output, offering better spot effects. This setup includes the pump source, optical coupling system, laser working medium, and resonant cavity.
Nd:YAG Crystal: Our DPL modules utilize Nd: YAG crystals, known for absorbing the 808nm wavelength and subsequently undergoing a four-level energy transition to emit a 1064nm laser line. The doping concentration of these crystals typically ranges from 0.6atm% to 1.1atm%, with higher concentrations offering increased laser power output but potentially reducing beam quality. Our standard crystal dimensions range from 30mm to 200mm in length and Ø2mm to Ø15mm in diameter.
Enhanced Design for Superior Performance:
Uniform Pumping Structure: To reduce thermal effects in the crystal and improve beam quality and power stability, our high-power DPLs use a symmetrically arranged diode pump laser array for uniform excitation of the laser working medium.
Optimized Crystal Length and Pump Directions: For further enhancement of output power and beam quality, we increase the laser crystal length and expand the pumping directions. For instance, extending the crystal length from 65mm to 130mm and diversifying the pumping directions to three, five, seven, or even an annular arrangement.
